The Metaphysical erotic art of Alphachannelling

Alphachanneling is a Swiss-born American artist based out of Oakland, California whose erotic artwork is a testament to the metaphysical plane of sexuality, exploring the more unseen facets of sex rather than the physical. He refers to his own artwork as a "devotional prayer to the feminine principal."

SOPHIE CAPE AT CARRARA

Sophie Cape's latest exhibition 'Montagne di marmo- drawings from the quarries of Carrara' is the result of an artist residency Cape took part in at Studio Nicoli (Carrara, Italy) in June, July, and August of 2016. Cape hiked into the quarries of Carrara daily at 4pm in the blazing heat to gather the dust and remnants of the marble cuttings to use in her works.

Tattersalls Club Landscape Art Prize Finalists

The prize was judged on Tuesday, the judging panel comprised Chris Saines, Director Queensland Art Gallery and Goma, Dr Campbell Gray, Director University of Queensland Art Museum, Stella Downer, Art Consultant and judge of the Salon des Refus?s, and Ernie Ward, Tattersall?s Club Committee Member. The exhibition will hang in the Foyer at Waterfront Place for a public exhibition from Monday 12 September and concluding on Friday 23 September.
