"My work stems from collage" explains Murray Hilton. "I used to find alot of images from old industrial magazines and mad comics and I collected them together and made mixed media collages.
From there I realised that I would like to create my own images so I learnt how to use a camera" It was in this step from the old world of paper cut-ups that scavenged the left over images of the 20th century pop culture that Hilton's work became the patterned, colour saturated multimedia works of today."
